Greg Keuter

Greg is the Director of SportPharm Enterprises located in Torrance, CA. In this capacity he is responsible for helping over 130 professional and collegiate organizations manage their inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications while complying with federal and state Board of Pharmacy regulations. Greg joined the Chicago Cubs in 1989 and worked as a minor league athletic trainer for 7 years. It was as a minor league athletic trainer he received the honor of being named “Athletic Trainer of the Year” for the Midwest League in 1995. Greg was named the organization’s Minor League Medical Coordinator in 1996. As Medical Coordinator, Greg was instrumental in upgrading and improving many aspects of the organization’s medical procedures as well as overseeing the rehabilitation of post-surgical and long-term injuries. Greg left the Cubs organization at the completion of the 2005 season.
Greg graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training, Physical Education and Biology. He was on the Dean’s list for 5 consecutive semesters and graduated with superior scholarship. He received his Master of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion: Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention in 2006.
Greg is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and Licensed by the states of Arizona and Illinois. In addition to the NATA, Greg is member of the Arizona Athletic Trainers’ Association (AzATA), the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers’ Association (RMATA) and a former member of the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS). With PBATS he published the monthly “in-house” newsletter for 9 years (1997-2005) and was responsible for overseeing the selection of the Minor League Athletic Trainer of the Year for 2 years (2004-2005). At the request of PBATS, Greg traveled to Japan in November of 2005 as part of an athletic trainer exchange between the Japanese Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers’ Society (JPBATS) and
PBATS.
Greg is co-author of 5 manuscripts in progress, as well as 3 published peer-reviewed abstracts. His latest co-publication was recently released by the Journal of Athletic Training and was featured at the 2007 NATA Annual Meeting. Greg and Dr. David O. Draper published ‘Understanding the Characteristics of Ultrasound’ in the May 1996 issue of the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers’ Society Newsletter.
Greg was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on October 17th 1965, and lived in many cities as a child in an Air Force family. Greg was a 3 year varsity letterman in baseball and a 2 year varsity letterman in basketball basketball at Papillion High School in Papillion, NE, and was a member of the All-State Choir for two years. He was selected with only 3 other sophomores to the National Honor Society and remained a member throughout high school. Greg lives in Gilbert, Arizona with his wife, Susan and their children Elizabeth and Thomas.
